The difference between cone crusher and impact crusher in the second stage crushing operation

2020-04-13 09:13:21

As the second stage crushing equipment in the whole production line, what is the main difference between the cone crusher and the impact crusher? The working principle of the cone crusher is to use lamination crushing, the rolling mortar wall is constantly moving towards the crushing wall, extruding the materials between the two for crushing; the working principle of the impact crusher is the tooth shape impact from the material to the top of the vortex crushing chamber The back of the plate rebounds and falls freely, and it is constantly broken by collision with the materials that are subsequently impacted upward.

There are also many differences between the two in actual production, as follows:
1. Different hardness of crushed materials
Impact crusher and cone crusher can both act as secondary crushing equipment, but the hardness of materials crushed by them is different. Cone crusher mainly breaks some materials with higher hardness, such as granite, basalt, tuff, pebble, etc., while impact crusher is used to break materials with lower hardness, such as limestone, limestone, etc.
2. Different discharge particle size and applicable materials
Two kinds of crusher equipment crushing material size is not the same. Generally speaking, the cone crusher is finer than the impact crusher. In actual production, cone crusher is more used in beneficiation, while impact crusher is more used in building materials and construction projects.
3. Different grain types of finished products
The impact crusher has a good particle shape, less edges and corners of the finished product, and more powder; the cone crusher has a large number of needle plates in the finished product, and the particle shape is not good.
4. Different treatment capacity
Compared with impact crusher, cone crusher has the characteristics of low energy consumption, large output and stable production, so cone crusher is often used in large-scale production line with high output.

5. Different input costs
The price of the cone crusher is more expensive than the impact crusher, but its wearing parts have a long life, avoiding the trouble of replacing parts frequently. In the long run, the cost performance of the cone crusher is higher than that of the impact crusher.
It can be understood that the early purchase cost of the impact crusher is low and the later maintenance cost is high; the early cost of the cone crusher is high and the later investment cost is low.
6. Different pollution levels
The noise pollution and dust pollution of the impact crusher are large; the pollution of the cone crusher is small.
To sum up, impact crusher and cone crusher have their own advantages and disadvantages. In actual production, which kind of equipment should be selected also needs to be selected according to different materials, incoming and outgoing particle size, output and other aspects. It is suggested that if it is a small stone production line, it is OK to use impact crusher. If it is a large stone production line and the material is hard, it is better to choose cone crusher. If it is very strict with the grain type, a shaping machine can be added.
